Michal Parízek, Ph.D.

I am an assistant professor of international relations at the Institute of Political Studies at Charles University in Prague. I do research and teach courses on international and European politics and political economy. I have studied at Charles University, at the University of Bath, at Princeton University, and most recently under the supervision of professor Michael Zürn at Freie Universität Berlin. In my research, I focus on the functioning of international institutions and on whether and how their design can make them function better. Empirically, my core interests are in the politics of global economic institutions, notably the World Trade Organization, and of the European Union.
