Mgr. Martin Riegl, Ph.D.

Dr. Martin Riegl is professionally interested in the process of political fragmentation, geopolitics of recognition, global transformation of power, or geopolitics of regions and related topics. He is an editor and author of books like Unrecognized States in the 21st Century or Strategic and Geopolitical Issues in the Contemporary World and articles like Power and Recognition: How (Super)Powers Decide the International Recognition Process, or Independent territories revisited? The concept of partially independent territories (PITs) and the role of such territories in the international system. Dr. Riegl participated at international conferences in United Kingdom, Norway, Australia or Taiwan. He serves as a coordinator of the Geopolitical Studies and International Economic and Political Studies Master´s programmes.
