35 years of political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University
We concluded November at IPS with a commemoration of 35 years of political science at FSV UK. At the conference 35 Years of Political Science at FSV UK, we reminisced about the wild nineties, the early years of IPS, and the gradual establishment of individual departments. The director also ceremoniously christened the cover of a new book by Professor Miroslav Novák, who opened the conference.

At the same time, a doctoral conference was held, where young researchers presented their current projects. IPS was represented by Martina Hlavsová, Štěpán Jabůrek, Michal Malý, Jaroslav Maxa, Irena Skalová, Jan Vondráček, and Filip Žiljak. Colleagues from Masaryk University, Palacký University in Olomouc, and Tilburg University also attended. The research projects covered a wide range of topics, from AI-controlled political actors and changes in party politics to populist and anti-populist communication, European security, and the role of NATO in light of the war in Ukraine.
