Mgr. Lukáš Hájek, M.A., Ph.D.

Lukáš Hájek is an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science, Institute of Political Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. His research focuses on the legislative behaviour of MPs, parties’ ideological positions, constitutional conventions and local politics, with an emphasis on quantitative methods. He has published in The Journal of Legislative Studies, Parliamentary Affairs, East European Politics and East European Politics and Societies, and co-authored Power Beyond Constitutions (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023). He holds a PhD from Charles University and master’s degrees from Masaryk University and the University of Mannheim. He previously worked as a political analyst for Czech Television, and served as executive editor of Acta Politologica.
