  • What can reverse democratic decline? Leading democracy scholar Larry Diamond to visit FSV UK

    Professor Larry Diamond, an American political scientist at Stanford University and one of the world’s leading scholars of democracy and democratization, will visit FSV UK. In his lecture, The Wave of Populist Authoritarianism, And How to Reverse It, he will address one of the most pressing challenges facing democracies today: the rise of populist authoritarianism and the strategies that can be used to counter and reverse this trend. Join us on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at the Jinonice Campus (Hall C117).

  • Opening of the Jinonice Campus canteen

    On Monday, 19 October 2026, we are opening a new canteen in the Jinonice Campus. You will find it on the 6th floor of Building C, to the right past the elevators. The canteen is available to both FSV UK staff and students. It will be open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 to 14:15, and on Fridays from 11:30 to 14:00. Each day, the canteen will offer a choice of three hot main courses, one soup, and various beverages. During the first week following the opening, the canteen will operate on a trial basis.

  • Go abroad next academic year!

    As of October 1, 2026, two calls for applications are open for FSV UK students: Inter-university and inter-faculty study stays for the winter semester / full academic year 2027/2028 with the deadline October 31, 2026, and CU Mobility Fund – call for applications for funding towards a study stay or internship abroad, with the deadline October 21, 2026.
