Lecture by Alexander Wedl

We cordially invite you to a lecture by Alexandra Wedl, who will present her dissertation on Czechoslovak society, ecology and activism before 1989.

As a discussant will be James Krapfl (McGill University) and Doubravka Olšáková (IPS FSV UK).

Alexandra Wedl (University of Basel) is Program Officer at the Swiss Peace Institute and is completing her dissertation on Environmental Discourse in Czechoslovakia.

James Krapfl (McGill University) specializes in Central European history, political culture and revolutions in the 20th century and has been editor-in-chief of the journal East European Politics and Societies and Cultures since 2024.
